It really shines on veteran, it's not as hard as you think. The checkpoint system is very forgiving, saving every couple of minutes for you.

The only hard mission is the silo and hill 300

And the bit where you have to snipe the germans in the russian level while they storm you on the lower leves, God that was hard, but fun.

  • always take cover when in combat (behind boxes, cars, or walls)
  • use your smoke grenades wisely and when absolutely necessary
  • never be the first one into a room or open battlefield
  • use bolt action guns whenever you can (practice your headshots)
  • memorize enemy posistions when in hard spots and you keep dying
  • when you're being shot, always go to prone asap

barely used my gun on hill 300... All I did was make a path of smoke grenades and ran through the whole thing.

I thought that Silo and hill 300 were easy, I had a tough time with a British mission when you had to take over a church. That mission took me two hours.

I kept getting taken out at the top of the hill, COD2 was a great game, I hope COD4 delivers. Never really played COD3 much but without Infinity ward it's not the same

I didn't have to much trouble with that level, but I did on the last level where you're storming that house and the German try to come in the door and windows. It's the only game that I've gotten 1000 points on, proud of that, took me about three days. Loved the game online and off. I used to rack up tons of kills against people, it's the only game I'm any good at online. COD4 should be right up my street.
