i only have money for one.  i have tried the Lost Planet Demo and loved it.

I have a gold subscription and will be engaging in some online play.

which one would be a better choice?

I would definitely go with Lost Planet. I've rented it and played it for the full time I had the rental, and then some. Great game, though I can't comment on the multiplayer for either game, I would definitely have to say Lost Planet.

Meh i don't like lsot planet, call of duty III is a breathtaking experience, buy that :)

depends on what type of game you normally enjoy the most. 3rd person or first person. CoD3 multiplayer is excellent and the 24 person battles show that there's much more potential with XBL shooters than the standard 8 vs 8. Lost Planet MP is a blast but can be extremely unbalanced at times.

I'd personally recommend CoD3. :)

IMO, if you've played COD2, stay away from COD3... but if you haven't, it's a fine choice, it's just that IMO COD2 is far superior...

So if we're straight talking COD3 VS LP for multiplayer, which offers a better experience? does either have connection issues etc.? I have a big problem with "host" in GOW do these games have similar issues? Also in player matches can a guest account play on live with me via split-screen?

I have both and enjoyed Lost Planet more. Turn off the Auto Aim though. And Im usually FPS all the way.

COD3 is a better game but if you've played WWII FPS before than Lost Planet is defintely a nice breath of fresh air.

LP has great visuals and awesome bosses.  COD3 just feels "cheap" compared to COD2.  The multi in COD3 is pretty fun, though.  I'd rent LP, rent COD3, and buy GRAW2.

Lost Planet. Both CoD3 and LP have disappointing single player, but Lost Planet's multiplayer makes up for the single player. I'd really say get something else entirely, but if it has to be between these two get Lost Planet.

both games are a lot of fun

COD3 multiplayer is fantastic, but the 1 player campaign is average

LP is really fun, i just plaed the demo, but its really fun! i promise!
