theyre different so stop making these stupid threads, theres already a billion of these cod4 vs halo threads, but since you asked, id have to say halo 3, first and foremost its got the needler, energy sword, brute spiker, brute hammer, and the brute chopper, plus its got the hayabusa armour and stuff, those are just outright cool, and not even unreal's weapons/vehicles can rival those....but cod4 is more noob freindly so people might like that, also its great to not have vehicles in a MP game, and sometimes its great to include vehicles, just depends on what mood youre in..

Why does it matter? If you have both then you have probably the best two first person shooters on the 360. So whoever has both is the winner not one or the either.

I think CoD 4 has a lot more to offer than Halo 3 in some aspects but for pick up and play I don't think any FPS can beat halo plus the halo following is huge so Halo wont be coming down off of its horse anytime soon.
man, is it me or these threads r getting annoying...FOR THE LAST TIME! both games have there own goods! just go buy one!, then later on buy the other one!
I respect Halo 3 and I know its a great game to many gamers, I just didnt think it was much. Its a mediocre run and gun shooter too me and the MP gets stale after a week or two.
But anyway, I had more fun in the CoD4 BETA than I do in the RETAIL version of Halo 3.

Please explain to me how COD4 is "more noob friendly".
They aren't even in the same FPS Catergory. You got your arcade shooter(Halo 3) and you got your tactical shooter(CoD4). Both have significant differences.
You can compare Team Fortress 2 to Halo 3, or Medal of Honor Airborne to CoD4.
As a series CoD has had more good games, CoD, CoD United Offensive, CoD2, and now CoD4. CoD3 sucked but it wasn't made by Infinty Ward so it doesn't really count. And I haven't played Finest Hour or Big Red One so I can't comment on those.
Call of Duty 4 is better in my opinion. To those of you waiting to get this on 11/6, be prepared to be blown away by the graphics... the sound... the intensity and gamplay. This game is sick!
