Mark my words, this game is SICK. Absolutely the best game I have played on Live EVER. My only complaint is sound which doesn't pop like say R6 Vegas, and lower resolution textures making it visually good but not great. No one needs to respond to this thread, just thought I would put it out there. Mper Game of the Year easy.

This game is great but you have to admit that halo 3 has the causual appeal. I will have to wait until halo 3 comes out to judge but right nowI prefer the cod4 beta than I did with the halo 3 beta.
What I love most is that Infinity Ward wasn't kidding when they claimed CoD4 was going to maintain 60 FPS. Smoothest shooter I've ever played on the 360. Halo 3 will remain the most popular by default, because that's the way it is, but I think I'll enjoy CoD4 more so.
In pure terms of fun factor CoD 4 beta crushes Halo 3 beta bar none imo. CoD 4 is extremely addictive.We will have to wait and seethe game types Halo 3 brings but I have a feeling I will be dropping my Halo 3 when CoD comes in November. I just can't get over how good CoD is.

Whats so special about COD4? COD2 MP was generic and rather boring. Halo 1, and 2 is awesome MP, 3 will be even better. Plasmabat
The CoD2 MP was awful and the devs know they messed. CoD1 had sweet mp but 3 was miles better than 2 and 4 looks like its taking inspiration from Battlefield 2, the 1 on PC not the lame console versions. I'm from teh UK so I dunno what the beta is liek so I'm probably well off
COD 4 is just what COD 2 was to me when I had my first 360. Nothing but addictive fun war play. I believe I will enjoy Halo 3 more for the edgier competition.

:lol:Yeah if you didn't know it would seem funny. I played it over my friend's house yesterday. It was good, but I liked Halo 3's better. But that doesn't mean I don't want the CoD4 beta, which I still don't have! :evil:

I agree, Call of Duty 4 will be an instant classic with most gamers. However, Halo 3 will no doubt be the more popular because of the fan base it has. I will be playing Call of Duty 4 though.
its fun at first...but then it just gets real old....way too many campers...they ruin the run and gun gameplay this game offers...so it takes the fun out of it
i dont get why people argue about which games as better, if its better stop fighting about it on the forums and go play what you want and leave everybody else alone. as for H3 beta and COD4 beta, I'v played both and they are both incredible, i'l personally be spliting my time between the two because they both have something incredible to offer. but i do have to thank the guys at infiniy ward for finally giving us the "sprint button" and allowing to shoot through walls, its freaking incredible :shock:

man after playing cod4 for a couple hours(something I NEVER EVR do with 360 multiplayer games btw) I tried playing gears but i couldnt cuz the fps was too low lol. bsaically I agree that the low res textures do kinda lower teh graphics a bit but its worth it for it running so darn smooth. My only other complaintw ould be that its wayyyyy tooo easy. I have my m4 with a red dot site, stopping power and steady aim(i even got the red tiger camo for 150 headshots) and im literally always always in the top 3 after free for all or on top in team deathmatch.
I'm not a fan of the Call Of Duty games, although I'm interested in seeing how well it does. I just got my september issue of GI and they ranked it as the best game of E3...over Halo, Rockband, Mass Effect, and everything else. Pretty surprising if you ask me :shock:
