Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Knife VS. Gears of War Chainsaw (POLE)

It's up to you Game-spoters, what do you like better the Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Knife or the Gears of War Chainsaw ?

COD4 knife is fun....but the Chainsaw is just sooo much more rewarding...IMO

The knife, its like second nature to click that analog when someone runs by. And it feels so good. The real question is which do you hate getting killed by more ? My answer is still the knife, then again COD4's kill-cam makes everyone look like ana-hole Lol.

I don't get how the knife attack works in CoD4. I mean, he pulls it out(most soldiers have it on their boot, methinks), and swings it, and puts it back in what? One second? It's also an one-hit-kill which is pretty stupid.

I'm more of a fan of the knife.

Only because I'm way more effective with it.

I like the knife. The chainsaw is nicely gory, but for me the knife is more reliable to me

The knife is just a quick stealth like kill but when you get a chainsaw kill you just feel like you embaressed the crap out of that person. I always freak out when I get one :)

Chainsaw by far, much more brutal, more distinguished, and unlike the MW knife, there is actually a reason you die when being hit by it!

i like DOD4 more but there is nothing like chainsawing some one and they have to watch it. its so personal :twisted:. a knife is like *stab...so what? :P

opps, I spelled poll wrong. Awesome how many people voted. Look's like the chainsaw is wining, I voted for the COD4 Knife because it is more realistic and like what that one guy said it is like second nature furthermore it is a faster kill and chainsaw on the other hand is unrealistic and takes about 3 sec and in siting duck time is like a life time.

Chainsaw, by far. Because chainsaw duels are full of win :P

This battle is really unfair, the knife is simple t is just so low key and unspectacular it is pure function. The Lancer's Chainsaw on the other hand is wicked and spectacular, you feel good just using it. It is like comparing a cruise missle to a flare, both are good at what they do, but come on you feel way more badass using the missle. (Bring it on Call of Duty 4 fanboys)

An ordinary knife or a huge chainsaw that rips people apart? It's obvious which one is more enjoyable to use.

The knife it' s quick, quiet, and waaay more humiliating.

This is a stupid comparison in my opinion, the chainsaw in gears is not just a melee weapon like the knife is in call of duty 4, it is the symbol of the game, you dont see the special edition of call of duty 4 having a knife on it, or they dont make call of duty knife replicas and sell them do they? Gears of war chainsaw all the way.

and also, why the call of duty 4 knife, why not the battlefield bad company knife, or the grand theft auto 4 knife, or even the spy's knife in team fortress 2, another reason why this thread is pointless in my opinion, and dont flame me I dont care about your opinion if it is against mine, everyone has one so dont single out on me.

The knife is best because you can do it with any gun equipped.
In Gears you need to have the Lancer equipped to chainsaw.
Also, you have to be very close but not too close to the enemy to chainsaw them, it's too difficult to gauge.
Knifing is much more convenient and it makes a cooler sound effect anyway.:P

The knife defeats all logic so I guess that makes it sound cooler.

Chainsaw FTW!

It all comes down to one question for me, which one works? The GoW chainsaw often makes little sense, maybe you get kocked back from being shot, maybe not, maybe you keep getting knocked back after they shoot you, have a guy in front of you chainsaw you from being, horrible duels, game chainsawing furniture instead of enemies, sometimes you changesaw someone and it skips the animation allowing you to chainsaw someone else right away, chainsaw lunge from the first game (don't know if it is in second), etc. I found the knife to be much better, more satisfying and it works right. Also Gears forces you to use that crappy gun, on CoD you can use anything.

why not the battlefield bad company knife, or the grand theft auto 4 knife

I forgot about older Battlefield games but for consoles only it would be because the Battlefield knife is horrible and rarely works and the Bad Company one came after CoD 4, doesn't look as cool (though Dogtags are), and sometimes decides it doesn't want to kill anything. Not the GTA 4 knife because melee just isn't that fun to use in the game (maybe the Saints Row 2 Katana).
