ME just went gold. It should be release on the advertised date... If money is tight I would suggest that ME would be the longer, more enjoyable experience. Unless you get deeply hooked on Multiplayer games.mass effect was just delayed wasnt it... and cod 4 comes out in a week... COD!
but I dont know if it was delayed so i says save and get both...

yeah mass effect will last a very long time... like oblivion in space... and the only strongpoint in COD is multiplayer because they announced single player is 5-10 hours... so its up to you... FPS multiplayer or over the sholder third person shooter rpg...(i don't know if there is multiplayer but i hope so...)
Mass Effect for me.
I am not really a Call Of Duty fan although I will admit that 4 looks really good and I will probally buy it when it drops in price.
c. all of the above
I am getting COD4 for the awesome multiplayer (umm the beta was sweet!) and getting Mass Effect for its SP and story line. I can't wait for either!
Might rent Mass Effect, I don't replay long RPG's usually - don't have that much time/love. Unless the game is better than anything I have ever played more than once (FFVII)
On that note, CoD4 on the otherhand will be a purchase for me. The MP component had me absolutely addicted in the beta, clan support (Halo3 REALLY disappointed me on that end)
All in all, to the poster saying play Halo3 for your FPS fill - I can't agree. I wasn't a fanboy, but I was sold on the massive popularity. I haven't even finished Halo3, and as much as I play it online I feel that the CoD4 Beta was more fun that Halo3 Mp.
