Hello. I play Call of Duty 4. I like Call of Duty 4. I played through almost every mission of Call of Duty 4 on Veteran difficulty. Except "No Fighting in the War Room." I fought so hard, so far. It took me 2 days to get halfway through the level. About 70 tries. About 4 hours combined I spent in that hellish underground bunker. I reached the part where you clear the missle silos and then rejoin with Cpt. Price to open the big steel door. But it doesn't happen. Whenever I enter the room, the sequence doesn't trigger. Price just stands there at the door, waving at me to enter, even though I already did. Its a glitch. A GLITCH! I SPENT 2 DAYS TRYING TO BEAT THAT LEVEL ONLY FOR A GLITCH! Do not tell me; "Oh, it's just a one-time thing, it'll trigger if you try again. I re-tried the same sequence from the checkpoint 4 times. FOUR TIMES. And still the event doesn't trigger. Still it isn't read. Are you meaning to tell me I went through the entire game on grueling Veteran difficulty, over the course of a week and a half, over dozens of hours, to find out the game has a flaw in it on the last level that prevents me from moving further!!!! Is there any way to fix this? And do not say, "Oh, start a new game on "Easy." I refuse to finish Call of Duty 4 unless it is on Veteran difficulty! I used to assosciate Infinity Ward with quality. It used to be my favorite developer. But couple this incident, plus the horrible checkpoint system and cheating enemy AI, and I'm starting to think they're selling out just like EA. I am in tears, in tears because I worked so hard to get this far in Call of Duty only tto be stopped, and in tears my favorite developer, my favorite series betrayed me. And don't just say "Pfft, its just a game." Its not on Veteran mode. It's a commitment. It's hell.
I just needed to spout to someone...
