Check out the video called Bog Rescue As you can see, it's not a slow tactical game like GRAW or Rainbow Six Vegas. You aren't giving orders to your other soldiers or vehicles. It's big cinematic battles just like the other Call of Duty games. It's just in modern times. Come on, you've got night vision in a Call of Duty game. This looks like Blackhawk Down if you've seen that movie.

What was it about GRAW that you didn't like? The slower pace? The fact that you had to give orders to your other soldiers? I don't see any of that here. This looks just like Call of Duty should.

How will it suck? Looks just like previous Call of Duty games (gameplay wise) except with modern weapons. The only thing I can think that may make this game even slightly realistic or tactical in anyway is that hardcore mode they were talking about in the video. But everything else looks like good ol call of duty (altho im still optimistic on how the create a class feature will work)
those who say CoD4 is like GRAW obviously have not played with CoD or GRAW to know their difference, and basing their decisions on the fact that their both based on modern war.
all videos of CoD4 still show its arcadey style of gameplay. people are running out in the open, going guns ablaze once they see their enemy. do this in GRAW and your ass will get handed to you. GRAW is about patience, finding your spot and covering the visible area.
so really... can someone explain to me how these two games are very similar, aside from the fact that they take place in a modern setting.
Im pretty sure itll be nothing like graw; I imagine itll stay true to the Call of Duty franchise which means an intense strict FPS experience. If anything this game reminds of me Battlefield 2.
I loved the first GRAW, but the sequal was a bit of a dissapointment. I have no doubt that CoD4 will kick ass though, it is definately one of my more anticipated titles for this year.

i've played both the GRAW series and CoD series, and i can say they're nothing alike... after watching some vids of CoD4, it does look like the same old CoD series in modern times, which isnt a bad thing, as long as some new gameplay elements are included.
I'm not sayin that this is like GRAW because i have played CoD2 and CoD3 and GRAW, but I don't like the fact that they skiped past the pacific WW2 battles, Korea, Veitnam, and Desert Storm. That's wat gets me!! I think you should do all the wars in order not go from WW2 Europe to Iraq! I wanna fight in the jungle and raise the flag at Iwo Jima before I fight in Iraq!
CoD 4 is going to be like all the other CoD games (which is not a bad thing), only with modern vehicles, gadgets, and weapons. I hope thatat least they add a modern day tactical feel to the campaign...modern day warfare is much different than it was in 1944...
look i'm gonna buy this game only because im a huge call of duty fan but i just don't like the idea!i have Ghost Recon and i have played GRAW, but Ghost Recon didn't bode well for me and I haven't played it since! I also have Battlefield 2, which i didn't like at all! I just wanna say, yea i am buying this game only cause i am aHUGE cod fan and i wanna see if it is any good.
