I'm just curious to see how many people are buying this game. I for one am not, and will be hoping some people stick to call of duty 4.
The whole point of it going back and not staying with modern warfare just sorta' killed it for me.

They started making cod5 before they knew cod4 would be such a success with the modern setting. Ill probably get it for christmas too.

Actually for once, I think Treyarch is doing the right thing here. They're going back to World War 2, and they're giving me back my bolt-action rifles.
Personally I stayed with Call of Duty 1 and United Offensive. Call of Duty 2 destroyed the series utterly, but Call of Duty 4 strengthened it a little. Still, shooting through walls was just dumb.
I will buy it, of course!
Not just because it is called Call Of Duty and because it's a popular name, but because I love CoD games and have played them all since day 1 (put many, many hours in to them especially the original PC ones). When I say many I mean many!
I loved them all, including Finest Hour, Big Red One and Roads To Victory. I know I will love CoD5 and I am glad they are going back to WWII, they're my favourite setting in a FPS!

Ive been playing it sence the beta (cod 4), Im done, been done, plus it sounds and looks incredable.
I will. It'll probably be the same as COD4 in a WW2 setting.
So that means it could replace COD4 for me, as that game has gotten really boring lately.
call of duty 5? there is no such game. but have u guys heard of call of duty world at war? i hear it might be goodRealKilla_789
You should tell Gamespot that because whenever I type in "Call of Duty 5" I get Call of Duty World at War.
They're the same game. Plus people who have been sticking to the franchise are probably more likely to say "Call of Duty 5."

You also get Call of Duty World at War when you type in "Call of Duty" "Call of duty 2" "Call of Duty 3" or "Call of Duty 4"
i'll be getting it, although i loooovveed cod 4, there is only so much you can do in the modern setting without it seeming silly or unrealistic (in terms of story and who we'd be hunting) BUT with ww2 there is the history to repeat and also wile limited, gives more scope than modern settings
and anyway, who doesn't like shooting the germans? i hope i get to knife a few frenchies too

It's the fifth call of duty so it is call of duty 5 and that is a scientific fact. I'll be getting it. CoD4 is boring now it's been played to death.

Agreed, I honestly don't see what the problem with WWII is, its still going to be call of duty, and its still going to be awesome, I am definitely gonna pick this up as soon as I can
yea, we'll see if the single player can beat Hell's Highway. The multiplayer already has lol.
If its really good then maybe I hate this whole WW theme and especially cause I hear they ll be killing middle eastern peopleiboo01
What's wrong with killing middle eastern people in a game? next best thing if you ask me
