I'm thinking about getting either Call of Duty 5 or Gears of War 2, but I can't decide which one to buy. I've heard Gears of War 2 is a killer game, but I've also heard that COD5 is pretty bad game also. Which game is better?

But I recommend Gears.

Gears of War 2 multiplayer is flawed. It takes 1 minute to find a match. Call of Duty 5 is like a modded version of Call of Duty 4. I liked Gears of War 2 better though.

I highly recommend GOW2 because it is just that much better than COD5 with modes like hoard and guardian. COD5 is just your same FPS. Bland and boring. GOW2 is tactical. if you are a COD fan boy go out and buy GOW2. You will be much happier

Gears 2 if you want a better campaign experience, but I've gotta admit Call of Duty's isn't half bad either. Gears of War 2's multi is flawed though, so you'll get more lasting appeal from CoD: WaW

The funny thing about these 2 games is that I preferred cod4 and gears1 way more than these 2.

Get Gears 2 as long as you have Gears 1, if not, then get CoD5.

Do you own Call of Duty 4 already? Then get Gears of War 2. CoD5 barely expands on CoD4's already awesome multiplayer. If you don't have CoD4, I'd say go with CoD5. However, Gears 2 is a really fun multiplayer game with some issues that will HOPEFULLY be fixed in upcoming patches. Honestly, I chose to skip CoD5 because they did almost nothing new compared to CoD4, whereas GeoW2 expanded on almost every area of Gears of War 1, mostly for the better :).

Call of Duty:WAW without a doubt.

Did you play Gears 1 or COD:4 because that could help.

Or why don't you treat yourself and get both lol.

Both are solid games, but I would say Gears 2. Gears has that "it" factor that COD lacks. While COD is a solid WWII shooter, there are a ton of those. Gears is more of an original experience. The complants of Gears online are overstated. It takes a little while to find a match, but I have waited longer for Halo and COD 4. Gears also has the best campaign imo. Both are great, but there are more "wow" moments in the Gears story.
