Ive played every Call of duty game and enjoy everyone one of them. I especially like call of duty modern warfare and CoD world at war. I was wondering why they never developed a call of duty game set in veit nam. I think its a really good idea. World war 2 was intresting and the modern warfares setting was cool. Veit nam just seems so gritty and I think that war has alot of potential to make a great game plus I cant think of any good viet nam war games.

Well, there are 2 things "wrong" with Vietnam... 1) We (the US) didn't "win"... 2) It's still too fresh in a lot of people's minds. WW2 was over 60 years ago now, Vietnam was 30.

ShellShock Nam for the OGXB is worth a playthrough. Very short game you should finish it in 4-6 hours. Not the greatest game, but worth a playthrough.

I think the main reason is that we didn't "win." I mean, Modern Combat is now and so it's uber fresh in people's minds. So I think the main reason is that we didn't "win."

Yeah, but Modern Combat is fictionalized to a point

Well does every game have to be about absolute victory. Shouldnt it be more about the ride to a exciting conclusion. There have been games like gears of war one where in the end the goods guys didnt win entirly. Movies are the same way.

Maybe call of duty 7 can be vietnam, call of duty 6 is in modern times and when u think about it vietnam would be like world at war and call of duty 4 combined.

Battlefield: Vietnam for the PC was a great game! The PC was saturated with Battlefield games from EA at the time, so it kinda got lost in the middle.

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed to be MW2 already.
