getting my 360 repaired through all the pickup and delivery and things for my broken xbox here in the uk?? I tried my best to follow the guy i was talking to on support but i could just not understand him!!:) help would be really apprecieated:)
I just went through this a couple weeks ago so it's fresh in my mind ha. They ship you a box with a return label and all the necessities when it comes to shippping the 360 back. That will take 5-7 days they told me, but since you're in the UK the person might have said longer, but I'm not sure. Anyway, you get the box, pack it in with nothing but the 360, take off the HD, and then pack it. Stick the return label on, and then you have to drop it off at a UPS drop off location, it has to be UPS. Then they take about 3 days to ship it back, then you wait for the console to be repaired/replaced and then they ship it back.
well i got the return ticket through email,and ups(i rung them to arrange a pickup)they said i had to use my own and the microsoft ones werent good.i am now,officialy confuzzled:?
Im in the uk and ive already been through this. Pack your 360 into a box, you can bye one from the post office. Iput mine in bubble wrap, but since you dont get your console back (its some other repair job) its upto you. Stick the label youve got to the box and just give it to UPS when they come for it. Thats it. Just dont pack anything other than the 360, no HDD, no power lead or cables or anything, just the plain 360.
btw i only called today,got in touch with ups and thhey said a driver is coming today...then,an hour later she says sorry the drivers are bnusy at the moment can you make it monday?? and i was like...o..k then:roll:
well it must be the same (or pretty similar ) process in the UK and US (or LatinAmerica ) so just wait for UPS they'll fill out the forms and send the box, you'll get a new 360 in about a week or two, you just have to deliver to UPS and be home when they'll give it back
OMG, why does it matter. Once its sent off its MS's problem not yours. It doesnt come back in the same box, it comes in one they send, and not especially well packed might I add. You pack your box up, stick the UPS label to it, the UPS guy scans the label and takes your xbox away. Then M/soft send you back another xbox in a different box, you sign for it and accept it, open the box, put the xbox under your tv, plug in the power lead and video cable, turn it on, put a game in, and start playing. Connect an ethernet cable or wireless adapter for online depending on your needs and whatever you do dont stop breathing because you will die.
