So as usuall my 2 little brothers tipped my xbox360 over while my games were playing so thanks to that I now have, a unplayable halo 3, red dead redemption, gears of war 2 and modern warfare 2. Could I take them to some place and get money off my next game purchase or should I just throw them away?

most likely not, depends on how "physically" bad the look, gamestop usually doesn't test games, i know they test consoles.

how bad do they look?

How did your little brothers wreck 4 games at once?

Depends on how bad they look, if they don't test them instore and accept them, you should get a good few quid for them, especially RDR and MW2

Try buffing them out (look up different methods on google) or take it to a record or gaming shop and ask if they have a buffing machine. You aren't going to get any money for games that look scratched, let alone are unusuable, but maybe you can fix them to play for yourself?

If they're severely scratched and unfixable, then simply don't sell them. If you do, then you're a *.

Here's an idea, put your console on a shelf or somewhere out of the way, not on the floor!

Maybe he has the crappy default 20GB harddrive like most people and doesn't have any room left, and doesn't have $100 to waste on a bigger one.

Usually, Gamestop or any retail gaming store you go to will check for scratches 90% of the time... So pending on the condition is what you would get with it...

Toothpaste and a damp rag can fix much of the scratching.

Everyone is missing that you may very well be able to sell them at Gamestop even if they're unplayable. They do take in broken games and consoles and then refurbish them before selling. You just get less trade-in credit.

You come out further ahead if you just go somewhere that has a buffing machine and have them buff it out for you though. A lot cheaper to do it that way and then you can have your games back.
