can i trade in my 360 for an elite?

i have the 1 year warantee thing so can i just like pretend it broke and get and elite or somethin? will best buy take it back if i dont lie and just ask for a trade in?

They will only take it back if it does not work. I think EB or Gamestop is doing a trade in, you get some extra cash if you buy the elite and give them your system. You will still have to pay around $200 anyway.limpbizkit818

So can i bust it myself and they'll take it?

right now the only options are:

1.  Sell your system(ebay, etc.), then buy an elite.

2.  Take advantage of any trade-promotions that any stores might offer.

Yes, but I do not condone it. If it's broken then Best Buy will let you get an Elite and pay the difference if you have the PRP. I have done this with iPods and I did it to from a Core to Premium user.

That is correct. I think they'll buy your premium for 250 dollars. I don't think EB or Gamestop are the best places to buy the elite. I went to my local EB and they said they are only getting one. I went to my local cc and they are getting 15, and best buy is getting 24. I would just sell you current 360 to a friend or ebay. You'll probably get more, and then you can probably get it at a bigger chain with no problems.
