Can I Unlock Gouken with Akuma ?! SF4

I'm playing Street Fighter IV right now and I've unlocked every character except Gouken and Seth.

My problem is that the only Ultra Combo that I can do without problems is Akuma's. So the question is Can I Unlock Gouken with Akuma ?!

I've tried with Akuma yesterday but it didn't work, so did i do something wrong or its just that I can't Unlock Gouken with Akuma ?!

HELP PLEASE !!

im sure you have to use akuma to unlock gouken but there are certain requirements to face him at the and like certain number of ultra and super wins i cant really remember because i did it so long ago now.

I know all the requirements but the only ultra and super combo that I can do are Akuma's

i thought you could only use akuma to do it.

wow are serious ken and a few others have the most easiest and classic inputs ever its just 2 half circles and 1 punch for the super or all 3 punches for the ultra. okay what part of pulling off the move is hard for you the half circles or the all 3 punches part.

i thought you could only use akuma to do it.

yes i think i did and i just searched and all the guides say you just have to do it with someone that you have already beat the game with so i guess you can use akuma if you have beat the arcade mode with him already.

Steps to get Gouken.

1) Get Akuma (which you already have)

2) Make sure you have already beaten the arcade mode at least once with Akuma.

3) If you wish, choose Akuma again for another Arcade battle, but this time you have to get 5 First Attacks, 3 Ultra Combo Finishes, 1 Perfect, and use 0 continues. This will unlock Gouken (after fighting him).
