I just got a VGA cable for my 360 but I'm slightly puzzled as to how to attach it, there's no ports in the back of my monitor so i can't plug it straight into that.

I've plugged it into the back of my computer (not in the monitor port obviously) and was wondering if there's any way i can switch between the two?

The VGA cable also came with a white/red pin thing, i cant find anywhere to connect these to, do i just leave them?

Any help is appreciated.

well, lets start from the end - the red and white cables are sound cables - which you have to attach to a sound port, so dont leave them out, you also got a converter to a minijack. If you cant find a Vga input in the back of your TV then you simply cannot use those cables, because your tv doesn't support aVGA input.

Uh, you can use them. Use the gender changer to hook up you're monitor cable to the VGA cable. Jack in the sound cables in you're PC or, if you're using a surround set, in you're subwoofer. And you can play.

Might as well ask my question seeing as i'm considering getting this cable tomorrow:

1)What type of VGA cable is it? male or female? and if it's male, does the official cable include a male to female adapter?

2)The two sound outputs, is there any chance that I could plug them into my computer and have my PC speakers emit the sound?

Any help would be appreciated :) been searching through the internet for days and no luck on any of these questions

1) Its male and you'll get a "mini gender changer(both female)" 2) I'm not sure about this but it could work if you have the red and yellow thingy. Or you must by a sort of adapter

the official xbox VGA cables do come with a male 2 male adapter (so you can plug the xbox VGA cable into your monitor's cable). it also comes with a headphone jack adapter so the two sound cables from the VGA cables can plug into your headphone input.

I guess mine wasn't an official one then, i was wondering why it didn't come in a official Xbox box thing even though it is a legitimate site.

I didn't get any kind of adapter with mine.
