Can someone please explauin the new Halo 3 ranking system to me?

Each playlist will have thier own EXP rank along with a number rank.

I can be a level 50 in Team Slayer, a brigadier in Team Slayer, and a General overall. A brigadier in slayer will look different than a Brigadier overall.

it said everyone will start with the exp of zero. but on the site it will still be shown like your old rank if you were a general or w/e

same. i dind't know this was going to happen. i havn't played halo 3 in a long time.

Skill stays the same. The only thing that's really changing is individual experience for each playlist. Play a lot of Team Slayer and your rank will increase, as it's no longer dependant on the skill number, meaning play enough games and you will eventually reach that General rank. However, that you only be for that one playlist, such as Team Slayer.

It seems purely cosmetic at this point, but I think it was meant to address problems people had with the skill ranking system, since it seemed a little unpredictable at times. It reminds me a little of the COD4 experience, where you are rewarded with ranks if you keep playing, regardless if you win or lose.
