of bad game based movies. lets face it, there has yet to be a game based movie to untarnish the Video game license movie name. (thanks Uwe Bull :( ) In fact the only other form of media Video games has suceeded in is Cartoon based Tv Shows (Sonic the Hedgehog the Original 1990 series's) and Megaman are the best examples.) Do you think thsi could possibly be the first big blockbuster Videogame movie, or will the cycle of crapness continue?

The first one was ok, the second one was laughable. YOU DO NOT KUNG FU FIGHT ZOMBIES! If you got hit by nemesis, your upper torso would go flying five feet.
Have any of you seen the movie Children of Men? Granted its not a vidoegame movie but I think the director of that movie, Alfonso Cuarón, would be really good behind the camera on a Gears of War film. The last 10 mins of Children of Men just felt like a Gears movie to me, it even had the roadie run! and the man has also done a Harry Potter film, which was alright for what it was, but he has dabled in that realm of fantasy epic, which Gears of War is. I think he could bring a gritty realism to the movie and it wouldnt be an over the top CGI fest that most movies now days turn into, I want to see Saving Private Ryan against Locusts!
