Can they actually try on the next call of duty?

It seems like these games have gone downhill since COD4. The knifing in the new one is the worst it's ever been, people who miss the knife get the kill when the person actually sticking their knife in doesn't. Also lunging through streams of bullets makes no sense. Sniping and especially shotgunning has been made completely useless. What's up with the dieing after you get around a corner or the other person getting the kill on their last bullet when normally that many bullets wouldn't kill you? The levels are terrible in the new one, everytime I get into a game i think, "wow, i hate this map". Why is there no periphereal vision? People walk right in front of you on the killcam but somehow you never saw them... that never use to happen. It feels like there is nothing being achieved with the new money system, everyone can buy the stuff... there's no point in getting headshots or doing challenges to unlock camo's or attachments. I don't even look at the challenges because of this and half the guns no one buys or uses since it has no balance. Some of the new features are great but it seems like the overall gameplay has just gotten worse and worse

I'm probably going to be yelled at for bashing COD:BO the most but I just got off from playing a little and I need to vent. Ever since Cod4 the amount of friends playing has gone down cause everyone just gets frustrated with all the BS. We were all lvl 50 10th prestiges back then with most of us having the golden guns and still playing, then we moved onto cod 5 and played about 5 prestiges, then about 3 for MW2 and I don't even see myself playing enough to prestige in this one. I just want a silenced AK47 with UAV jammer on Bog again... not to be throwing knifed in the toe for a game winning killcam.

I absolutely hate the knifing. Makes no sense. Deliver a few bullets into their chest and they still can run up and stab. The RCXDs are extremely annoying and Treyarch makes the killstreak rewards way too potent. Otherwise, I generally like the Call of Duty games. If they aren't going to change much then they should lay off a new title for a few years.

I know this is something people don't want to hear, but you should pay attention: STOP BUYING THEM.

Yes, a few here and there won't really make too much a difference on the sales charts, but why put yourself through the same old routine?

I'm one to talk, I said I wasn't going to buy MW2 or BO, but I did. And you know what? I'm done. These games have truly gone down-hill and it's time to stop wasting money on them.

There's a reason why Bad Company 2 and Reach are my two favorite shooters. They're worth-while games that aren't the same as their predecessors.

I think BO will be my last as well. There are plenty of other good shooters out there. I might have to get BC2 to fill in the void.

You won't be disappointed. I have to say, though, that the original is better than Vietnam IMO. Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere of Vietnam is awesome, but I like modern shooters the best. And if you ever want someone to play with, send me a PM. I'm usually on at least a few times a week.

Either I didn't read right, or there are no complaints about the pretty much stable servers here.

I can put up with a fake game, with a tomahawk that kills when it hits your toe, with an overpowered RPG-7 (*cough* Danger Close *cough*) but when I get into a game and I instantly get disconnected, it just starts getting on my nerves.

While I enjoy the CoD games, I will have to agree on pretty much everything you said. Mostly with the knifing, maps, and weapon attachments. I hate the money system and liked how you had to complete challenges to unlock silencers, scopes, etc. in MW2. However, they're made by different dev studios so you can't expect them to be the EXACT same game. I personally hate the sensitivity. The difference from 1 to 2 is astronomical and ridiculous. 1 is too slow and 2 is way too fast (at least for my liking). They seriously couldn't have taken out the last three sensitivities and put them at the beginning, making just minor differences between each setting? I like the emblem system, but I liked having to do challenges to get them more. That along with titles. I loved titles. I completely forgot if they're in Black Ops though. I just can't wait for the next game by Infinity Ward. Treyarch has decent games to fill the time gap between Infinity Wards'.

Will they actually try on the next one? The answer is no unfortunately, but no worries, Gamespot and every other review will give it sky high marks and people will stand in line to buy it.

Thanks for agreeing with me, and yeah I forgot about how it's nearly impossible to connect to a game with a party of 6 and getting losses because it disconnects as soon as the game starts. I probably won't buy the next one either, none of my friends play anymore and it just stresses me out. I remember seeing in Gameinformer a huge thing on COD4 and if I remember correctly they actually took a few years to put it together and make it an awesome game. I'd definately take an overpowered M16 over the crap we deal with now. Instead of buying the new COD next year I'll just get the new Elder Scrolls and Mass Effect, take a break from the age of shooters.

When you have a series that comes out Year after year expect little to minor changes such as madden each year their better but still the same COD Is madden of shooters ... you will not get quality like gears or halo out of COD ... a new one will pop up and replace last years ...

No they won't try on the next CoD because the next game will sell like crazy no matter how good/bad it will be. Release a game called Call of Duty: Cinderella's Revenge and it will still sell millions. I really wonder what Treyarch will do now that Infinity Ward(the original one) is no more, since the only thing they did is copy IW's game and improve the multiplayer a bit(like a 60$ patch with a new campaign)

Best part about Call of Duty is "Barebones"

No perks, no killstreaks, no equipment, and no attachments.

The only difference between CoD and yearly sports games is that CoD has two dev teams, thus a two year development cycle.

I'm not enjoying it as much as earlier Call of Duty games, but unfortunately my friends and family live a thousand miles away, and when they all get Black Ops, it's the only way I'll be able to play something online with them :\

It's not a horrible game, but it's not as polished as I'd like. The currency system feels really lazy, and the gameplay isn't as clean as I'd like.
