most definitely. if you perfrom poorly in a game (especially with lower ranked peeps) you can go be demoted. not only in your level but in your military rank as well.
I assume you're talking about Halo 3. If you lose EXP for whatever reason, you'll level down if your EXP drops below the amount needed for that rank. Say for example you have 85 EXP, that would make you a lieutenant 2nd class. If you quit a game, you'll lose 1 EXP, you'll have 84 EXP. You need 85 to be a Lieutenant 2nd class, so you'll go down one rank. Hope that makes sense.......I know when I read it it sounded confusing 0_o
you CANNOT drop a rank UNLESS you constantly quit games, your skill level may drop but the rank only takes into account your highest skill level achieved ever
