I just got a 360 yesterday for my b-day And I wanna know if there are any maintenence tips, guidlines, or anything I should know, Like the max time to leave it on and general stuff like that Thanks a whole lot. I just want to be sure to keep it alive as long as possible.

just keep it in a well ventilated area... n thats it... if its gonna break... its gonna break no matter wut u do

try readin the manuel, it came with the console, besides that you should just take care of it.

Don't place the console vertically, keep it horizontal.

Keep the power brick exposed and cool - I just have mine vertical leaning against the wall. Don't shove it back behind anything.

Don't enclose the console in anything while playing, like inentertainment centers.

Use a good surge protector and don't play during thunderstorms.

That funny because you can leave the ps3 on for hours no problem but the xbox 360 your afraid it migth blow up on you and die yea dont keep it on all day is rigth the xbox 360 is a poorly made console gone througth 3 so far.

I have a launch console and I played Halo yesterday for 12 hours straight. When I took shortbreaks, I just played music on the Music Player, with the psychedelic screen saver going.

I did that. I meant other than the "dont spill water on it" and "dont lick the electrical socket" manuel common sense crap.

Thanks for the info. Luckily I put it horizontaly to begin with. Now I know not to put it verticaly. I noticed it gets real hot on the back, I assumed it was normal but I wanted to check.

I unplug the power brick after each session. Bought it two years ago and haven't had any problems.

kay thanks, I think Ill do that. And by power brick, Im assuming you mean the huge blocky fuse between the two ends of the power cable?
