I heard that in Dirt you can't actually race with and interact with you friends in a live game. I heard it's justlike a time trial thing that you don't actually race other people.Pleast tell me this is not true. I want to get the game but I will only get it if you can race against your friends like in Forza.

You can race with other people online, but they will have their own empty track & so will you. You will not see their cars & they will not see yours, but you can chat with them during the race. There are no online modes in DiRT that actually allow people to race on the same track at the same time, everyone gets their own track & will not see the other players.

Noooo... That is what I was afraid of! I am not getting it know. No way. I wanted to race and interact with my friends on the same track, like in Forza. This stinks, I am so let down. Well, It saves me $60 anyway : (

You're way off. There are only races where you are by yourself for up to 100 players

That's kind of a stupid reason not to get it. Yes the multiplayer is a huge dissappointment but like Alex said, it really is the only thing letting it down. It's a fantastic racing game by itself as the AI can easily give you a run for your money

wow, why would they do that? that really takes away from the game.

i wasn't going to get it anyway, but i can't understand why a developer would do that instead of being able to race your friends, whats the point of racing online then? you can't crash anybody, you minus well play the computer. they shouldv'e just left multiplayer out.

Pretty much. I know I have a fair chance of beating the computer but if I mess up I can reset and not lower my score in the process

The developers stated they wanted to focus on the graphics for MP so they decided with this route. They have however said on the next one they will be including a proper MP.

Um, I don't think it's a stupid reason. I only play live games and I usually just play with friends or other people from the public. I want to interact with my friends and the other cars in the multi player. I am not getting the game because you can't do that in this game. I think it was a big mistake that the developers made. I am very let down.. It's ok, because I still have Forza and that games live is really fun.

dude thats pretty shallow.cause think about it. your in a room with 99 other people and you win think of the pride you would feel. i mean beating 7 people is one thing but 99. thats a whole nother league.
