Just wondering if I were to get a 120 GB HD, Would I be able to carry my downloaded games from my 20 GB disk somehow? or will I have to change disks back & Forth? Thanks for any help, this should help me to decide whether or not to invest in a new disk.

Short answer is Yes, but with a catch.

There is a data transfer cable which will allow you to copy over everything from your 20GB HDD to your new elite 120GB HDD. This is a one-time only action as it formats the 120GB drive deleting anything that is on it before the transfer.

Alternatively you can re-download Live games onto your new HDD since they are linked to your gamertag.

The catch is that XBLA games record the specific HDD they were originally downloaded onto. If you download them onto a second HDD (your 120GB) they are not on the original HDD, and can only be played when you are connected to Live. If you want to play xbla offline, then you will have to keep them on the original HDD. You can re-download to your original HDD whenever you want, as it is still the same serial number, its just when you try to do it on another drive.

If you are always connected to Live then it isn't a problem, but you should be aware of this before trying it.

Yea, what avenger said is true, you can transfer to larger HD, if you buy the 120gig hd individual you get a one time use transfer cable that will copy everything to the larger HD. If your upgrading to an elite, you will have a new serial # and nothing will work unless you are signed into xbox live.

However this month microsoft has announced there will be a downloadable drm management tool, which will allow you to change the liscence on any of your dlc to be tied to your new serial #. This means that if you have multiple consoles, have recieved a different console from the repair center, or have upgraded to an elite, that you can manage your arcade games and allow them to work your console of choice on or offline.

Hope that clears things up for you.
