just curious. like most people, i'm getting addicted to them which is great, but my deal is a little weird. i don't play online, don't have access. and i'm planning on moving to england (not for a while, probably 2 years) and will have to start all over again. it's silly i know, but i have pride in my non online gamerscore (which of course, is an oxymoron in of itself) and would like to just not think about it anymore.it's not that big of a deal really, just something that popped into my head:) *shurgs* figured i'd ask the experts:)

First off, you would not have to start over. That is all stored on a server over at MS. Second, how could you not have access to the internet? You are on it now.

You can view achievements as an added bonus to play a game multiple times, or play through ALL varitaions and in detail. Or you can just play the game in whatever mode/fashion you want and enjoy it and move on. My GS is fairly low, but then I just enjoy the game for however long I play and could care less if I get the full 1000 points for each game..:)

It has nothing to do with your HDD. If you get a new 360 just enter your info as an existing account. Is on on their server, not your HDD. And how could you not have the internet at you house?

Because i know myself well enough to know if i had the net at home i'd never get off of it. i just have that addictive personailty thing, not to mention i'd never sleep and i need my beauty rest. but more to the point, how can MS have any info on my account if it's never been online??? it's not wifi, lol?

He is saying can you turn it off. The answer is no but there are ways of not getting them. Use cheats or just don't do what they ask you to do.

The guy (I think) is saying that his 360 has never been on the internet. So, his info would not be on the servers when he moved to England. If he brought his hdd to a friend's house now and converted his account to an Xbox Live silver one, he could then download it in England.
