I got a HDMI cable, but I don't know if its compatible with my 360. Do you need the HDMI cables that Microsoft puts out for the 360?

Games don't give RROD.

Well he asked it so he must be serious...? But yea, reports of certain games causing RROD is all a matter of coincidence, so any game, new/used or rented have equal case of causing any problem. And in regards to your original question, yes, any HDMI cable would work. I bought mine off monoprice.com and it works fine for both audio and video.

Well you most likely have the newest model (Jasper) and those use even less power and have tackled the RROD problem itself

i thought that they'd work, but make sure that when you buy one your monitor has the correct hookup.
