[QUOTE="pungaboy"]I wonder if M$ will adjust any of their XBox Live pricing to reflect the strength of the Canadian dollar. See, if they made 100 points equal 1$ I think that would be a great price for movies. I also think that M$ would see Live Arcade sales SKYROCKET... Just a thought.numbah2
MS points are universal (meaning something that is 800mS points in the US is 800MS points in Canada), it's the stores that have to change the prices, and as far as I have seen, they ARE changing the prices... http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10083945&catid=23562
Yeah the point value is the same but the dollar value is not. In the U.S. you can get a 1600 points card for $19 and in Canada you get 1400 points for the same price.
580 points in the U.S. is $7.25 and in Canada it is $9.27 and that is BS and furthermore it costs 480 points in the U.S. so that means it's $6 to rent for Americans and $7.68 for Canadians. So even if the dollar amount was at par for points the U.S. is still getting it for 100 points less.
Not to mention the lack of TV shows and shoddy 31 movie selection, so all in all this is a slap in the face.
