Cancelling Xbox Live

After receiving a Nintendo Wii for xmas (which I feel is the superior system)I decided to cancel my Xbox Live subscription and sell my360 to a friend. So I called the Xbox hotline and the woman I spoke to said she would cancel the automatic renewal that usually takes effect once your membership runs out. But that sounds a little sketchy to me... Why can't they just delete my account entirely?

Should I be concerned about this, oris cancelling the automatic renewal the same thing as cancelling the account entirely?

I'm sure you'll regret this.. But on topic. Don't worry they'll sort it, Live is tough atm they have alot of things to sort out, just be patient.

Microsoft automatically discontinued my account when I got deployed.

Xbox Live has the screwiest cancelation policey. There's no way to just delete your account. As for trading in your wii, it is a mistake. The great games on the Wii are better than most 360 games, but they're rare. Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Wii Sports, and Paper Mario are all amazing. Rayman Raving Rabbits is a sweet party game. But beyond that there's little to play and they can't sustain a true gamer for too long. Keep both systems and you're set for the current gen.jaycromer12
