Sorry if this shouldn't be posted here for some reason but this is driving me mad. Last week I bought a 360 and connected it to Xbox Live through my laptop's wireless connetion using the ethernet cable provided. The next day and ever since, I cannot connect this way. I didn't change anything. My Xbox is connected, via the ethernet cable, to my laptop which is connected to the my wireless internet connection through my BT Home Hub. I have my wireless connection set to share, firewalls off and the settings are still set to automatic on my console. When I test my Xbox live connection it fails at the first stage and says it can't find an IP address or whatever and to try turning the router or modem off, which I have. I have read loads of guides on how to do this and tried many things to no avail. Huge thanks and respect to anybody who can help me get connected again.
