Hey guys,

My Xbox as the rrod, and I wanted to do the towel trick but it says that you need to get the cd out of the drive? How do you do that? I also need to take it out if I wanna return it to microsoft.

Also, when i put my xbox on, i dont hear no sound coming out of it, as if its off. I tryed the towel trick but it doesnt seem to get hot.

Thanks

take off the faceplate. under the tray should be a small hole. get a straightend paperclip and push it in that hole. it should open the tray.

well if the button near the disk tray doesn't open it you're gonna have to do some prying because i would NEVER trust sending my 360 to MS with a disc in it. it would be gone as soon as it got to the factory.

If it's a good game then get it out. If it's not a good game then crack open a Bud and say screw it.

If he does that it will leave marks on the system and that might make them think he was trying to take it apart and not fix it for him.

So it's acting like it doesn't turn on at all, only shows the red lights? Check your power connection.... Make sure everything is secure. I noticed that if a plug comes loose from the brick, it will look almost identical to the RROD. Happend to me a few days ago.

do what he says...that is the way of ejecting disc drives manually.
