[QUOTE="BaconB1ts123"][QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] hahahahha its infinity ward/activisions problem, MS isnt there to solve cheating in every single game, dont blame MS for something you dont fully understandTwizlerr
Well the messages are sent through live not in game. I think you are the one who does not understand. I will put it simply just for you - My post asks if ppl are sending you messages to give them money so they can use their modded xbox to boost you why should it be hard for MS to stop/ban them. The messages sit on THEIR servers and Live has its terms of service. I did not sigh or accept terms of service from infinity ward or any other game maker, just MS. You think the makers is responsible for enforcing MS terms of service? So if you did not understand the original post I am not talking about cheating in general just the ones where they message about it. Becuase finding these messages require a list of key words like "mods" "modded" "lobby" "Microsoft" "points" and stuff like that. Yes, it would filter out a lot of the messages, but it would filter innocent messages too. Here's some examples that would get filtered out that shouldn't be, red is a bad message that SHOULD be filtered, green is a good message that SHOULDN'T be filtered.
"Send a message to join my modded lobby!" "Have you played Half Life 2 with Garry's mod?"
"Do you know any MW2 mods?""Hey dude I just modded my iPhone, want me to mod yours?"
"Get your gamerscore modded for only 800 Microsoft points""How many Microsoft points do the new MW2 map packs cost?"
Though, what MS could do, is make a keyword list and rank each message by how many keywords each message has. If it has a large ammount of keywords, they would filter it. If it has a low amount of keywords, it wouldn't be filtered. Like this:
"Join my MW2 modded lobby for 1600 [MSP logo]!" That would have 4 keywords, and would be filtered
"I just played a modded game of CS:S, wanna join?" This only has 1 keyword, therefore it wouldn't be filtered.
The problem with this is that innocent messages would still be filtered, and people would get around this keyword system by typing with numbers like "J01n muh M0dd3dz lobb13 1*6-0-0 M1cr0s0ft P()l/|/Tz!!!1!!one"
Get the point? I hope that wasn't too many colors :P
They don't necessarily have to filter out the message. it could just be flagged for a random check. I think filters can be programmed pretty smart too and it would at least cut down on it even if ppl find ways around it. I think your point on having more than one word hit would work pretty good. I don't know if I agree with your examples. Garry' mod would be for computers, talking about modding iphones is also probably against ToS, and MicroSoft Points would obviously not be in the filter list, but I get your point.
