Yea, thats Apple's FairPlay DRM protection, you could break it, which, I must note, is immoral and illegal if anyone other then you listens to it.:D

Did you try burning it to a CD and then ripping it to the 360?

Well I haven't checked too much into it, but I think Apple got rid of their DRM protection so it may be a file compatibility issue. Songs you download from iTunes are downloaded as .m4a and perhaps the Xbox 360 can only play .mp3 files? Songs you're ripping from CD may already be imported in mp3 format. I haven't checked any of this so I could be COMPLETELY wrong. Just taking a stab in the dark.

iTunes already does this! For Windows try the following...open iTunes and go to... "edit" --> "preferences" --> in the general tab click "import settings" --> select mp3 decoder and apply settings. Then choose one of your purchased songs and select "create mp3." I'd recommend only syncing the MP3 version otherwise you're going to have multiples on your iPod. BE CAREFUL because this is a great way to add unwanted multiples of songs to your music library.
