Can't Regain Achievements

A long time ago i had the common problem in which a couple achievements were erased due to downloading my profile again after it had been offline for months. Just recently though, I've gone back to play Dead Rising and for some reason I'm unable to get a couple very basic achievements that were there before my mistake. Is there a way to regain those? I've moved the original save to a memory card and started a new game, but it doesn't seem to work no matter how long I try.

I think you're going to have to completely erase your Dead Rising progress, not just hit new game :/

Achievements are unlocked through special scripts that were made by the game developer, for example if you've got an achievement that tells you to kill 100 people then eveytime you kill one dude it will first check if "Unlocked" is at "0", the "Unlocked 1-0" is not related to the xbox 360 live thing, it's purely a part of the game itself so it won't check if your live account has the achievement, it will check if your game save has already unlocked it.

Start of script

• Player kills a zombie
• If the player has already unlocked the achievement then the script will end
• Then it will check if you've killed more than 99 zombies, this is to avoid bugs that make the achievement never unlock, if not then the script will end
• If you have killed 100 zombies, you get an achievement!
