capture cards

Hey guys, was just wondering if any of you could make a capture card recommendation? I don't know much about them, other then I've seen internal and external captures, some offering audio, while others dont.

I'm looking to grab clips from games so I can make montages and reviews, so there needs to be audio, and the video should be smooth, I see some pretty rough cut stuff out there on youtube thats just too damn choppy.

Anyone have a preferred card? or knows somebody with a card that they love?

From what I have heard the Hauppage hd pvr is the best if you can afford the hefty price tag that comes with it.
