I received my MW2 360 bundle today and decided to give M$ a call for a transfer cable. To my amazement, I was told the the existing transfer cable will not work with the 250 gig HDD and that they had no idea when the new cables were going be distributed. The answer I received was, and I quote, "keep checking the website" for upgraded cable availability. I gave them 400$ and they gave me the "dirty D" with no vaseline. Thanks!

Well, I would have thought you could use the transfer kit that they send you when you transfer from the 20 hd to the 120 hd, are they insinuating you can't use that?

geez, you guys are harsh. It's a simple transfer cable - why wouldn't you think it would work with a similar hard drive, just a bit larger. Also, Microsoft should make their things compatible.

But they don't, and I learned this YEARS ago. They should do a LOT of things.

Assumptions of what a company like Microsoft should do, and then a purchase, usually results in a thread like this.
