Anyone else have this problem? I have seen and heard"kick the private" happen quite alot in R6 vegas, but i'm a captain in that game, so its never been a problem.

However, I picked up a cheap copy of GRAW the other day and got kicked from three games in a row because I am a 1 (or noob)

The game looks pretty cool online - I managed to get into a game, but it was like a 1 on 1 game, set for 30 minutes!

My problem is thatI get kicked for being a noob - but can't rank up because I can't get into a game to get some XP

Anyone else have this problem with games? and does anyone know if there is a game mode in GRAW where they can't/won't/don't kick out all noobs

Lt Colonel in RSV so i only get kicked for being English ;)

If you get games that are highly driven on XP pretty late then you are going to find that sad little men will pretend to be cool and kick you for being a n00b and hence less of a person to them. If you plug your mic in and abuse them maybe they'll keep you in the game just so they can tell you all the dirty words they know and about how much they can bench-press.

Or just host your own games then kick the expert guys for sweet sweet revenge :D

Thats not a bad shout, might try host my own games for a bit...but then they might not wanna join the "noob host" and ask me to kick myself

I guess if I join some sharpshooter matches I might not get kicked? As long as its not a team game. If its all against all they will just see me as fodder

When I started playing halo 3, i thought this would happen (but due to matchmaking it doesn't)

the majority of higher ranked players I ahve played have come out with worse scores than me, i do really well online, but sometimes my team lets me down (XP in halo 3 is given on a winning game basis) which is slightly unfair to me, I do really well, get MVP or come second or third and get no XP because my team lost!

GRAW isn't that good online, you can't hide behind cover like in the SP campaign

hosting your own games is better, thats the only reason I play Forza motorsport 2 online

Ah - I wondered why I wasn't "sticking" to walls.

I only played it briefly, but for me it was a nice break from vegas. Its cool that you can lie prone as well.

Maybe i'll look into getting GRAW 2

Ya saddly I remember being kicked in alot of matches on RB6 because I can not use a mic. So my advice is just get alot of friends who are similar to ideas as you and play with them when you get the chance to. Really the best way to play the games anyways is with friends.

Just to let you know, the GRAW community is probably the lamest online community i have ever experienced. I got GRAW a few months after the release and even that was too late to join games. i was kicked constantly like you, and, as a result, i gave up playing it online after a week.

If I remember correctly you are the def gamer right? Do you have a mic? As long as its plugged in, they won't kick you.

Doh! I was kinda hoping it was a one off bad night for getting kicked!

All my mates....well everyone in the world is playing halo 3 at the moment, and as much as its alright, I prefer more "real life" style shooters.

It happens. I hosted all the time in Vegas and there was always someone telling me to "Boot the 'no-mic'!"
That usually ended in the mouthy person getting booted :P

GRAW 2 On-line community was great at first. But lately the Flamers and Trolls are more frequent. It is really hit or miss (but I guess it is like that with any XBL game). It can really ruin a good gaming night when you come across a bunch of Jag dorks.

As long as the mic is in the host/other players are usually happy.

They don't usually demand peopel "sound off"

Bit of a difficult one though - I don't care about ranks, but I don't like no mics on my team if i'm defending - its quite tactical and requires team work. Obviously in your situation it would be a bit different though

R6V is the worst for me gettin kicked because people have a clan match or warm up or somit and then jus kik me without telling me and the only way i find out that they were havin a clan match is because i sent them a message giving them ****, i mean they could tell me why they have kicked me before they do!!!:@ :@JS92

Its annoying man - I can understand kicking red dots and to some extent no mics on R6 vegas. But the random kicking is annoying - esp if you've been sitting in the lobby waiting for it to fill for 5-10 minutes

Ya why I ussally like games like team fortress 2 has it with like medic or surrport type that way I can just follow behind someone and heal or surrport them. Though other then that i'll just play the scout or sniper and try to work way out in the middle of no where to help cover another person that idea worked good in the large maps CoD 4 has. But not so good in the frantic maps like Halo.

i had the same problom when i started playing rainbow. what i do now though (almost past the captain rank) is i host all of my matches, unless one of my friends sends me an invite or whatever. i don't kick people because of rank, the only time i kick people is when they give me a reason too, if they're not cooperating, are 40 year olds that keep hitting on me (very annoying), or am waiting for one of my good friends to come in. but before i do i tell them why i have too and apologize and offer to let them know when the next match will start. but kicking people out, to me, due to low rank is not very fair, everyone has to start out sometime :)

People were like that to me on my first Team Slayer of Halo 3.

"Oh, he's already got three kills..."

I always thought that XP in Halo was given do to how good you did not how you're team dose. Man that stinks.

ps. on games like Rainbow Six i just play un-ranked games or games that either one of my friends is hosting or just in.

Thats because single player and multi player were made by 2 different development teams. We dont want there to be active cover in graw, its to faced paced to have it. Its fine just how it is.

Its mainly Ghost recon fans that are left playing the game as of late.

GRAW/GRAW2 Ranked games = fail. The system is horribly messed up, in fact is one of the worse things that could have happened to the game. Most ppl play player matches as the community is in 3 groups you could say.
group A) those that play player matches, love the game and all it is.
group B) same as A but like to play ranked, Forced fpv, blind seige or LMS.
group C) Rank boosters that boot anyone lower then them.

They did try to stop all the rank kicking with a patch, but now they just start the game, end it then boot you.

My advice is stay away from ranked and play player matches, there are a few ppl that ruin it but you can weed them out easy enough. Communication is a big part of this game so you wont realize how great online it is until you can find ppl that you play well with.

If you really want to play ranked your going to have to either find a host who doesnt mind (they are out there) or host your own ranked room.

This game (GRAW2) is truely unrivelled online. Yes it does have its problems, like any other game. But with a total of 50 maps (once 3rd DLC is out) and every game type is customizable to make your own, nothing else can say that.

the SP is short, much shorter then previous GR's. Also easier, however, GRAW2, is all about the MP.

I managed to get a player match fine last night :high5:

It does play alot faster than I thought it would - its very different to the SP.

Despite being the onlyEnglish guy in the room the guys (and girl) were a good laugh. Its cool when you find some funny people online.

ive played loads of rainbow six and never had any bother or seen anyone get kicked for being a low rank. people do get booted and its always for having a red dot for your connection or for having no mic. on the team games i think both cases are justified. espially when playing on an objective game, its all about working as a team and its very hard to do without the mic, if u dont have a mic or have one and dont communicate with info on whats going if something important is happening then you are spoiling it for the other people on your team , as you will if your connection is unplayable, it adds lag to other people and eventaully u will leave the game when it becomes unplayable and leave the team a player short.

i think its more fair to stick to just player matches rather than ranked if you aint got no headset

the game is definetally much better with the voice like, makes ya really work as a team to win the match rather than just play as individuals on a team like many other games

main reasons i see people getting kicked on raindbow six is never on rank, played canny few games and never seen it on rank, its always red dot for crap connection and no mic. ya need the mic espieally in the ranked matchs its expected. on one side of the coin its a downer to get kicked coz ya aint got a mic on. but its not really fair on ya team mates if ya not going to work as a team espeially on the objective style games. after all its ranked so it all counts to they ratings on the leaderboards. and the team that works best together always wins. thats what makes it best team game for me because it forcers ya to use everyones eyes and holla if ya get nailed or can spot the other team trying it on. if ya dont communicate ya team will suffer beacuse of it.

i never had any problems on any games inc gwar 1 & 2 online getting kicked for being new and having a zero or low rank. but i always have the headset on and try to talk to whos in the room anyways. i bet most the people who find they do get kicked if they tried to talk to the people in charge of the lobby and have a crack with them then they are going to be alot less inclined to kick ya rather than if ya just sit there waiting being quiet

Ya I can see the reasons why having a mic might seem important. But being deaf there is no why I can use a mic in the first place so kind of pointless though I may follow advice and just plug one in if I play with strangers so I will not get kicked off a game we play for fun. I understand alot of people are insenstive jerks which is why I just stick and play with people from my friends list to make it easy on me.

Though Im not sure about having a mic being important to playing well in a tactical game. I've played along side with a deaf clan who could easily hold there own against other clans. It is just really how you think when you play the game I always think people who depent on the mic it is a crutch for them. Instead of just relaying on your feelings and what you see changing on the screen. A small shadow or maybe in some newer games a reflection of a window in the game which only happens when someone walks past it.

lol - I have never read the book? I think I will now though.

My understanding of a "catch 22" is a lose lose situation?
