CES... a letdown keynote

i just watched the keynote and well... i don think microsoft has anything to offer now besides some games and tv. Seriously its Bill's last time and we get a finaly of guitar hero. WTF

seriously do you have anything to offer this year microsoft??? (lets just wait for Mac Life now)

Blame it on STUFF magazine I guess. Or maybe the Warner announcement completely derailed their plans. It's hard to say. I don't know who started the rumor that MS would make a major 360 announcement at CES but it certainly spread like wildfire.

I liked the way they muted Slash to stop him from swearing.

I think decided to blow the Gears of War 2 budget on getting his megastar "Friends" to appear in his little farewell video.

If the WB announcement did derail their plans to announce the 360 HD-DVD then I imagine they'd just decide to announce it at a later date not so soon after the WB news. If they were ready to announce it then the whole project would be too far along to just ditch it now. The Guitar Hero 3 stuff did seem like rather suspicious filler. Usually the idea is to end a keynote with a bit of a bang. Perhaps that's when the big 360 announcement was supposed to be.

They should've apologized for the Xbox Live recent Outage, and our compensation in the form of a "free" XBLA game! And given us some insight on what it is... I got points to use... and Im not going to buy anything in fear that, that one game i do buy, will be the free one in another week or so...

CES is not about games.If you were expecting a lot of things about games in the Keynote (CES hasn't even started) than you had false hope.
