Ok, so my bro just bought a 360 and I'm thrilled an all but games a 60$ each. That is A LOT of money considering how many games I wanna pick up. After paying off my share of the 360 I'm left with -20$, so 60$ x atleast 5 is not in my budget. What's the cheapest way to get games? Should I just suck it up and start eating pb & j?

You can either try to buy used games, or just wait a while for the games to go on sale.

Depending where you live, Bioshock was $50 this week (at Circuit City - an electronics store in the US). It's not much, but it was still $10 cheaper than the regular price.

Well I'm only 13, I'd really get a job if I could. I work for my mom as a cashier sometimes but she only needs me to fill in like 2 days in a month. As for the ebay thing, I'd prefer not to get tangled up with credit cards and pay pal. Dealing with virtual money is kind of intimidating.

ebay...i love games... but i can wait longer for them... for example... bioshock look AMAZING but i wont be getting it for a few more months... what i do is i buy games off ebay but i buy older games... right now im playing splinter cell and just cause whenever i feel like playing a **** game... after that i have the darkness...once i finish splinter cell ill buy more game... on my list i have (the godfather-hitman-lost planet-battlefield 2-virtua tennis 3- pirates at worlds end-tmnt- transformers-dead rising-graw 2-crackdown-king kong-tenchu z- spiderman) none of which are above 30 bucks on ebay... ill prolly go with king kong next since u can get it under 10 bucks if u look right.... i have not bought a new game in months... its great when u get 3 games for the price of one... only reason i dont have a problem with this is cuz i rarely play online since i dont like it... if ur into online play...this may not be the best option since the longer u wait... the less action ull get online with certain games...

There are websites out that you can buy and sell games on. I use one right now, you sell games on it for the same price that it is valued at used at gamestop, then you use that virtual money to get another game that someone has listed for sale. I've never gotten a bad disc and i've bought 10 or so on it. Just google itradevideogames for it, exactly how I typed it and it will be the number one listing. It's a great site if you have older games to sell as well.

Used launch games...do they have used games sections of game stores in the US? Theres some excellent launch games like Kameo and CoD2, if you pick them up used they must be extremely cheap. Also theres a few games which are a little "old" now like Dead Rising and Crackdown that you could pick up used. Or just rent them, get an online rental account ( I think GameFly is the best american one) or just rent from your local blockbuster.

That just seems a little steep to me. If the price stayed at 8.95 I would probably subscribe to gamefly.

EBay which has already been mentioned. I've also bought half my games at movie rental places. Its a great way to pick up games if you don't mind waiting for 5 or 6 months after release to get one. Big places have those guaranteed rentals, so they'll bring in like 8 copies of bioshock. After they hype is gone, they'll sell off 5 copies for cheap. I bought 8 games last time a store was running a 2 for 30 deal on used games.

i wouldn't get used. used stinks, ask your mom or dad for money or to help pay for the games. like get them to pay like $20 of a $60 game. also next time you might not want to pay for your own system, instead get it for x-mas or birthday or as a gift so you'll have more money to pay for the games

Get a job at Microsoft, any games that are produced by them cost $15 for employees.

Blockbuster (although most blockbusters I've been to have horrible 360 selection) or GameFly is what I use now and I love it. The post office lost the last 2 games I sent back, it only took about a week to sort it out with GameFly but they straightened it out even though they never received the games I sent back.

Or since your 13 just ask your parents if there's any thing you can do around the house to make more money. Cut grass in your neighborhood. Find an elderly person that might need help cleaning their house for a few hours a day...I helped an older handicapped couple clean their house once a week when I was 15-17 years old...$10 an hour for mopping and sweeping isn't a bad deal.

I typically wait until the price comes down. My 360 is cool and all, but I have yet to play a game that I felt was really worth a $60 price tag. I suggest buying a new copy later, that way you actually support the developers, but you also send the message that you don't want to pay $60.
