I've moved my Xbox away from my router and I dont want to run a cord all the way from one side of the house to the other, so I was wondering if there was a cheap way to get WiFi on your 360. I know they offer the $100 WiFi add-on, but I dont want to spend that much.

Anybody know if USB wireless adapters for PC work on the 360? Any other suggestions?

You can chain it thru a laptop. I've also heard of other pieces working in place of the Wireless Network Adapter. Costing around 30-40$

I'd say look at reviews for Microsofts piece on Amazon or something, see if anyone suggests other alternatives instead.

I use to use a linksys wireless router, but it always had problems. I picked up the microsoft wifi add on and I have never had any problems with it. Trust me, buy it and you wont be sorry.

Man I just wish the thing only cost like $50, then it would be a no-brainer. $100 is alotta money for WiFi.

Thanks for the advice though guys. I might just end up getting the WiFi adapter.

This is what I use. I have had it since the PS2 adapter came out, i'm surprised it still works well but anyway I suppose anything from lynksis would work. Just make sure it's compatible with your router and all. And I don't know if the 360 is compatible with USB adapters, so I would stick to one that connects through the ethernet port.

If you don't want to spend the $100 for the wifi adapter, you can use a wireless bridge which are much cheaper. Check www.newegg.com .
