I have Civ Rev and will get SIV.
Civ Rev - You'll play this game ADDICTIVELY for like a week. Say goodbye to friends and family. But after a week, you'll get tired of it and won't play it for weeks. Then the urge will hit you again and you'll play it, again, addictively, for a week. It's like a big sundae ice cream you eat once a week. I think this game will provide you with a deeper gaming experience and is simply just more engrossing. Deeper, longer, and overall more intense game.
Soul Calibur 4 - This game will be crazy fun for months, but in smaller, shorter spurts. Long hours of gameplay will get bored quickly, but it retains vitality consisently and steadily. It's like a pack of M&Ms that taste good but gets old fast, but you'll want more the next day. I think this game is more flash than substance, but that doesn't mean it isn't really fun. I can imagine that after playing it for 20 games or so, it'll get flat, and the flashy graphics won't impress you as much. But wait a day and you'll want to put in a few rounds again. Fun, quick, game better in shorter bursts.
