What happened to clan support in halo? It was good in halo 3 if you got in a solid clan that didnt quit every other day n make anew one

I believe they are releaseing Clan Support as a 360 update, so it will be used actually on the system its self rather then in a game. Smart idea yet could become cumbersome..
