Does anyone use Clear wireless internet with Xbox Live? If so, how well does it work? I am thinking about getting Clear Wireless Internet for my house, but am unsure of how well it will work with Xbox Live. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I was a customer of clear and I say don't get it if u are getting it for online gaming, streaming videos,or downloading large files. Its only good for a household that only has one computer. It used to frustrate me when someone is on the computer and I was on xbox live. The speed is inconsistent. Even though you have 4 or 5 lightbars(which is suppose to be the best signal you get) you'll still get lagg. I have the worse experience with Clear when it comes to online gaming and streaming videos. Clear sucks for gaming TRUST ME. Everyone I know who had clear and played games online always complained about how laggy it is and how inconsistent it is including me. The first few days it may seem good but trust me after a few days you'll know what I am talking about. I played games from NBA 2k to Red Dead Redemption to the Call of Duty series to Madden and every single one of them was a lag-fest and disconnects. What made it even worse was I paid for the fastest speeds Clear offered in my area. I am not trying to sound like a hater but I dont recommend it at all. Watching videos on youtube was a pain in the butt too. I always had to pause it till it buffers all the way to watch clips. Also If someone is using a computer while u are gaming you can forget about it. That will kill your online experience. I am glad I ditched them and joined comcast. Best decision I made. Just take my words for it.

Clear = The worse for online gaming. The price sounds good but it is not worth it. Clear is without a doubt the worst ISP I ever had.

With my experience using DSL and Cable internet services, and had worked for AT&T DSL and Clear Wireless internet call centers in Las Vegas for technical support I can give some help. Also never or atleast not at this time use a satellite internet connection, because those services are really bad.

I would say never use a 'wireless' type internet or a low end(most are) dsl service for online gaming because those will usually have a high or very high ping(which measures how long information takes) which is never good, and usually the upload and download speeds isn't high enough for online gaming and those will give you lag and timeouts which can kick you from the game sessions.

Get a high end DSL service(if you can find one) or a Cable connection like Cox Cable or ComCast these services will privide you usually with much lower ping and enough speed to give you a much better online gaming experience so you will not have to worry about lag(atleast on your end, but you may notice other people lagging) and shouldn't have to worry about timeouts/getting kicked from the game.
