spoiler alert*****

That movie sucked. It was like Blair witch project. A guy running around the entire time with a camcorder. Then they have this godzilla monster running wild in the city that is immune to ALL weapons, yet it has no shield and is made of flesh. They neber tell you how or where the monster came from. I had a splitting headache after the movie because the ENTIRE time the camcorder picture is bouncing up and down. Makes you want to puke. I'm sure any type of game they would make is better than the piece of crap movie......stay away....save your 9 bucks!

That movie was awesome... and it wasn't invicible... but it just didn't die from one shot... and the movie was supposed to be that way with the camera and the bouncing... same with the monster... knowing what its weakness is and what it is makes it a stupid movie because it would end like all other monster movies... the main character would blow up something big and hit the weakness... the movie was supposed to put you into the shoes of the main characters and tell the story through their perspective...

And this wouldn't be a good game... there would be 2 weapons, M16 and M4... and only 2 types of enemies... the little clones of the big thing and the big thing itself...

The only thing I didn't like about this is that when the nuke goes off... you don't even get to see it... they show big massive CGI fights of F18's straffing the thing and big battles with troops on the ground... but you don't even get to see the nuke hit Manhattan... That was my only disapointment... other than that this movie was amazing...

I already saw the movie and I have to say it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. The whole point of the camera was to immerse the audience and that's exactly what it did. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

You keep complaining about not knowing what it is... "Not Knowing" is the best suspense in any movie... knowing everything pretty much ruins the whole movie... suspense is to keep you interested the whole time...

If your watching and 5 minutes in they say..."It is blah blah and doing blah blah to it will kill it..." that completely ruins it because you know at some point the main character will do "blah blah" and end the movie... this movie keeps you guessing...

Or you can buy a Wii and play Rampage: Total Destruction which is an updated version of the original Rampage from the NES, and that is like the movie Cloverfield too.

You obviously do not know any sort of valuable knowledge on film. Which results is moronic posts like this.

The movie was fantastically written and the cinematography and special effects were beyond ass-kicking.

Grow up.

magnificantly written? There is NO story line. A monster just appears out of nowhere in NYC. Oh my god, thats the best story line I've ever heard of. It is immune to all weapons.....sweet, this is getting good, and we will NEVER tell the story what is is....oh my god....we're gonna win best picture honors......oh wait dude, lets use a camcorder...dude...you are brilliant....I cant wait to rip off the american public.......we could do a sequal...a monster in san francisco!!!!!!!! dude, we are gonna be rich!!!!!!! maybe we could use a digital camera next time...dude, your pushin it....dude, I know.....

The guys from Lost wrote it, if you know anything about Lost you should have known that there would be no answers. If was a neat monster movie. Not cool that they killed that one girl though, she was my favorite. Bad game, no matter what. A lot of stuff would have to be added.

brandon, thanks for the info. that makes sense now. The writers of Lost I read couldnt even figure out how to continue their TV series. I guess they figure the people that have no brains would like the movie because they dont have to explain anything. Like leading blind mice to the cliff. I get it now.

Basically, the entire point of the movie is to show you what it would be like in such a situation. These people had no clue what was going on, hence you had no idea what was going on. I will give you that the idea of a hand-cam has been done and so has Godzilla. But this film was just original in the idea that you are as clueless as the people involved. Being a fan of Lost, I expected certain things to happen, such as random little clues throughout the movie. Also, the poducers of the movie did a lot of online campaigning and promoting to give you clues as to where the monster came from. One example is this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfKqIMX8nMM, that gives a clue of the original attack. Within that video, TIDO Wave is mentioned. Find more info on them here: http://tidowave.com/blog/ There was also another site where a girl posted blogs to her boyfriend, who has been investigating the people that "created" this monster. http://jamieandteddy.com/ Password: jllovesth It is a little crazy to expect most movie goers to search for all of this info, but JJ Abrams is known for sending out information outside of his shows. Lost has had puzzles with hidden messages for the show. I honestly loved this movie from start to finish aside from a little poor acting here and there. I really don't think a game should come of this. Only decent way to go about it I guess would be playing multiple versions of the game. Like you choose one of a few characters initially and play the entire game as that character. Then after beating it once, play again as someone else and as you play each character you find more information as to what happened. I hope what I threw you here helps you understand the movie a little better.

You obviously didn't get the movie. It's a reinvention of the monster movie genre. Most monster movies are about trying to stop the monster. Cloverfield isn't so much about the monster. It's about the president, the generals and the scientests trying to find a way to kill. I think we have enough of those movies. This movie was about the people running in the streets and what's happening in their lives.

The camera was a little disorienting at the beginning but I quickly got accustomed to it. If it bothered you so bad maybe you should have sat near the back of the theater.

The guy above me is right if you do a little searching on the internet like I did you can learn a lot more about the monster.

POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!!!

If you wait until the very end of the credits there is some static and a guy says "help me". If you play it backwards it says "It's still alive." Will there be a sequel? I don't think so but it's still pretty cool.
