yeah ive noticed that, it also gets incredibly frustrating in multiplayer at times. the cod5 beta though is a big improvement, not just a ww2 skin. still not sure whether to get it though.
The guns do get boring, that's why I try to use guns i've never used, once I get owned using those guns, I use the old guns, actually acheive some kills and the guns don't seem boring anymore ^^
COD4 does get boring at times but I still play and theres a ton that still do. I just wish there were more free maps to dl. COD4 online has so much potential and im not interested in COD4.5.
i will admit that have i have put cod 4 on the back burner because of all the new games out (fallout 3, fable 2, far cry 2). if you just picked up a new game and played it for a while, if you were to go back to cod4, then i'm sure you would enjoy it again.
I got bored shorly after 10th prestige(months and months ago). i have still been playing it atleast once a week, that will change once gears 2 comes out!
Pestige.....Sure its the same guns...but you have goals to work towards again...sights,perks, cammo and more guns.cheetfreak
This is what keeps me coming back. I'm one of the few people out there that hasnt unlocked everything or attained every prestige level so yeah it's not going to bore me anytime soon.
lol that was funny...but yea i agree wit the weapon patch idea...they should add weapons and challenges but i dont agree with the "boring" idea...COD4 has been my ONLY online game since December and i still pay it A LOT. but yea it would be refreshing to add new guns, its possible isnt it since they're able to give us new maps. they should also make challenges for the pistols :D so you can get camo/attachments (laser sights anyone???) but yea all in all they should release more of SOMETHING cuz not EVERYONE who plays COD4 will definitely be switching over to playin COD W@W when it comes out.

meh i seen the web sight. no one, a credible source, has said anything about it. some new maps and guns would be mad nice tho.
i got bored of COD4 a while ago the started playing GTA then said f that because people like to play with auto aim but thats a dif. story. so i went back to COD4; back to the same tactics and random nades. it gets really fun from time t time when people that are actually good play.
After 195 hours i can't stand the game anymore. Bought the maps and still hate it. Cod:waw might change that though. I'll just rent it first because more than likely i'll hate it.

Prestige is like the matrix,it's there trap you.I see no point in getting the same stuff over and over.Sure i'm to where I can prestige but i just dont care to,instead my goal is to complete all the challenges and after that i'm dun with COD 4.
I know what you mean. I got sick of CoD 4 around Februray and I got it for Christmas. The online was appealing and addictive at first but once you prestige and realise you're just playing to get better, more unbalancing perks and weapons, it just sorta dies on you.
Well, it's a year old, so if you've been playing it for a year and it's getting boring now, then...what more do you want from a game? (Gears has lasted many people up till the sequel) Still, I refuse to play COD 4 unless the developers actually release some more content, I look at Bungie and what they've done and it's truly commendable. But I am boycotting COD 4 (And, yeah I also bored of it) Auto sign in would beg to differ though if it's already in my dsk tray
