I heard a few people saying that while playing COD but I really doubt they will make it free this early... They are gonna still make a lot of money from people who stlil havent bought the maps
People think theyll be free because theres a message in game saying the new maps will be in normal rotation next week. But they wont be free. Thier just adding new modes that allow people who have the maps to play ALL the maps in whatever gamemode they want. People who do not have the maps wont be allowed in these "special" rooms.
can u do the Oblivion trick with it? u know where you rent the GOTY & install them & than just use your copy of the game after....cause that'd be sweet

Dude how old are you? It costs $8 to rent a game at Blockbuster. the maps are $10. Yeah that would be a really neat trick to drive up there and use $5 worth of gas to save $2. That is a $3 net loss ;-)..........

anybody know when we'll be able to play different playlists with the new maps? i know someone said next week, but im almost positive i read that last week when the maps were first released. so, i thought it would be this week, maybe even today, but i was wrong.

I got the maps for free, well not for free free I went to gamestop and I had asked for a 1600 MS point card, the stayed that they didn't have anymore so when I was paying for the other game game I mentioned that I wanted to get the points for the maps, the guyat the register basically said if I reserve a game then I could get the maps, I saw the little card reserved GTA4 and then went home followed the instructions and then next thing you know I got the maps!!!!!! I love Creek!!!!!!
I was under the impression that you could only play the variety maps with a couple of gametype. I only play the Hardcore modes and I don't want to spend points on maps that do not accomodate every gametype.

yeah right now u can only play them on team deathmatch, team hardcore, and team objective, but soon they'll be available for all game types
I doubt it.. you still have to pay for the maps for the previous CODs why would they change it this time... if they do i dont care i got the maps free anyways and I didntbuy the GOTY edition.. luckily i know people at gamestop...

I dount if they will EVER be free. They still charge for CoD2 maps.
they wont be free anytime soon, if ever. for a start, it would be a massive rip to only make you pay in the first week. it'd be the sort of thing that some texans would sue MS for.
