You have to prove that you are MATURE enough to play those games. If you won't be screaming and saying all the time, "dud i jus go2 like a no_scop hedsho7" then you are probably mature enough.

Dude. You must tell her that it isn't about just killing people. I mean, sure you gotta KILLL ALLL THE TIME but, it's about being a hero. Saving the fricken' world. You tell her that you wanna play COD4 so that you can experience the life of a soldier you can never be yourself. It's HEROISM! Hehehe.

What's up Camera..?? I think your mom is worried about COD4 because the subject matter is more realistic then that of halo. Sci-Fi always gets a free pass...even if it is Violante(except Dead Space....there's no way of getting around the blood and guts in that game lol)Anyway, COD4 is just a little more intense then Halo with little to no blood to be worried about. So ask her to rent it first so she can check it out....COD5 on the other hand is a bloody mess so "DON'T" even mention that one to her. Catch ya later little bro!!!:D

I have reasons of my own but she says she doesnt like killing but she lets me buy all these war games plus HALO thats what throws me off.

Sometimes parents seem to contradict themselves but in the end, they are just trying to protect their children.
Well Halo is incredibly unrealistic. It involves flying spaceships, aliens, and plasma weapons with little to no blood. Call of Duty 4 on the other hand is very similar to current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and resemble much more realistic circumstances. If my kid was 12-14 years old and asked for COD4 I wouldn't let him.
