depending soley on the reviews it gets. anything below an 8 im not buying. sick of wwii games

Ill paly it first, but i think the multiplayer community isnt going to be as strong because of the old setting.

Yes, it is call of duty 5. It is not a spin off. IW will be developing CoD 6

I think it's a step in the wrong direction and I probably won't get it.

I have mixed feelings. I mean the story looks good but another world war 2....I mean, why dont they give it a rest and allow world war 2 to rest in peace where it belongs. Anyways, like the user above, i will have to rely on the reviews.ahmedbilal1993

The WWII setting turned me off a bit, but it's the Pacific, so no more Nazis. :D

No, it's Call of Duty 5. Treyarch made Call of Duty 3 as well, so if they were making spinoffs, Call of Duty 4 would have been Call of Duty 3.

Damn you guys have no faith this CoD will be amazing so it's made by Treyarch it doesn't gurantee this will be a faliure I mean this game is going to take a realistic approach to war (Amercians getting their throats slit by knives, Japanese doing their dirty tactics etc.). Also just because Teryarch messed up once does'nt mean they'll mess up again it's like when you were little and you touched the hot stove (what was I the only who did that?) you learned (through 3rd degree burns)that touching the hot stove is bad. All in all this game will rock it may just rival CoD4 which is a great game but you treat it like it's untouchable.

hopefully it will bring something new to the series or to the ww2 fps genre in general rather than just rely on the franchise name to shift copies. a less linear single player game would be a step in the right direction
