Man what a sequel factory COD has turned into. When will these companies learn to stop over-saturating the market with their product. I wish they would take at least 2 yrs before releasing another sequel. All of these sequels should be released as DLC for the games that are already out because in all honesty they are just expansion packs with a campaign.xxxMoreBeerxxx
I don't see how you can get by with saying that? If you think about it, they are waiting two years to put out a new game...that's how it has been for a while now with the franchise. It isn't the game, its the developers, so yes, for Treyarch, it will be two years. For IW this year it will have been two years.
If you have an issue with the franchise, don't read threads or knock what is arguably one of the better if not best long-time franchises for a long time.
Also, do you think Halo 3 should have been DLC for Halo 2? You're being quite narrowminded...

Although all the sequels so far apart from Call of Duty 3 were in my opinion excellent additions to the franchise despite only being a year apart. I think they are walking a thin line however. It may soon be time to spread out their releases to increase the time each game is in development to keep us desperate for the next sequel and to limit the probablity of any mistakes. Good luck in the conference finals btw.

i just hope they take there time on em and dont just pump them out like EA games

Exactly, I wish they would beef up the main campaign a little more too.

Oh yeah of course, but for the gamer it is just a year. A franchise can become too familiar and common. Also in comparison to alot of games out there 2 years in development isn't very long if it's to maintain the high standard which has been met so far. Furthermore as competition increases as developers push the consoles harder tech wise it's going to need longer time in development. Also I wasn't actually responding to your post just happened that both of us posted at the same time.

That is why they are now taking two different roots. I mean, everyone has their own opinion which isn't an issue...its just I don't like people saying "ahh, they suck, blah blah". Just state how you feel, like you did, and I'll be fine...hah
There are two rotating development teams making CoD games, they're not pumping them out quite as hastily as you seem to think they are.
This is how the series is meant to be made now. Each game is made in 2 years time, one by Infinity Ward, on by Treyarch, one by IW, one by Treyarch. It's cycle.
It's not as if they're going to run out of wars anytime soon. World War III, the Civil War, Spain-USA of 1898, Korean War...
And the image of Zeppelins attacking London in the Great War is one I've yet to see in a videogame. Of course the Americans weren't involved at that stage, and Zeppelins were pretty easy to shoot down.
