is modern warfare two still gonna be a part of the call of suty franchize

its a stupid question but im trying to prove to my friend that it is

and it continues the story from cod 4 so even without cod on cover it still iz tied into the series

Modern Warfare 2 is now part of the franchise and the series. Before, Infinity Ward wanted it to be called just Modern Warfare 2 so that people didn't think it was just some spin-off crap game instead of someting new and fresh but still knew it was a sequel to COD4. About a week ago though, Infinity Ward released that Modern Warfare 2 is now called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - i don't know why they added COD back to the game but it's now a part of the franchise and series.
