I absolutely loved cod4. i was outraged at how short WaW fell of it. I probably will buy mw2, it just frustrates me that video game companies are just repackaging old games and selling them for full price. Assassins creed 2, bioshock 2, mass effect 2,crackdown 2, modern warfare 2, the ist goes on and on. I would bet my bottom dollar that the only real NEW stuff in these games is going to be the single player story, save some cool features thrown in that arent worth 60 bucks. I dont mean to be a whiny guy, and im pumped about a lot of games coming out....i just really wish that sequel games would come with improvements that merit a NEW game.
Just look at fable 2. There was nothing about that game that really made it better than original fable. It was just MORE fable. that should be a CONTENT UPDATE. not a new game.
Umm... I think that's the whole point of those games. You know... they are all based off of solely single player games. And in BioShock's and Mass Effect's cases at least, amazing stories. That's the point - to be able to expand upon the stories put forth by their predecessors while improving the overall gameplay. I can't think of a better game I've played for 360 that could expand upon its story as well as Mass Effect, though I am very skeptical about BioShock 2. Assassin's Creed 2 is looking like it could vastly improve upon the repetitiveness of the original, which would be a welcome change. I haven't followed Crackdown 2 very much though, but I'm guessing that and MW2 are the only games on your list that will actually be anywhere near to what you said.
