COD World at War better than MW2?

dont get me wrong, i like MW2. i play it often. but now that ive had it for a couple months, i find myself going back to World at War. I find myself enjoying WaW more than MW2. I like getting on and playing deathmatch with party chat!!! I hate having to get on and mute everyone or having to go to GroundWar. I know why they chose to disable party chat, but there is so much other cheating going on in MW2, they should have left the damn party chat alone. anyways, am I the only one that dares to think that World at War is more fun than MW2????

i think the maps in MW2 are better, but world at war just seems more fun to me

When someone says something is "more fun" or "better", it's subjective. Meaning only their opinion. I played World at War for months on my PC, but when I picked up MW2 for my Xbox 360, I enjoyed it far more. I still currently believe MW2 is the better and overall more fun game, but neither are the best.

World at War is better with the matchmaking and in my opinion the maps. Other than that MW2 is better.

i dont know, its just my opinion. after all the hype of MW2, i thought it lost the fun of the other call of dutys. WaW and COD4 were better. the hype let me down i guess. i cant get over the whole party chat s**t. i pay or xbox live, let me have F***ing party chat. the only thing better about MW2 are the graphics. i will say i enjoyed the single player more on MW2 than i did the previous 2 CODs

I prefered World at War because of Nazi Zombies and 4-player co-op.

Didn't really like either game's competitive multiplayer.

I thought MW2 was FAR superior, in most ways. the campaign was much more interesting, not story wise but you did so much more stuff. You just had various just "fight your way to here" in WaW... in MW2 your snowmobile racing, commanding predator strikes, etc etc. Flamethrowing was cool but meh after that.

MP I liked better as well on MW2, I like the progression system more.

IMO the only thing Treyarch can do is build a good map. I liked most of the ones in WaW. But overall I feel MW2 is just a much more polished in depth game.

WAW was good, but IMO, MW2 blows it away. The thing that made the Campaign suck in WAW was all the grenade spamming. It was terrible.

I love WaW. I got all Map Packs and never got MW2

I ended up getting Oblivion GOTY edition and Borderlands instead :)

i absolutely love Nazi Zombie mode, and am looking forward to COD:Vietnam this fall

I kinda like W@W better, but i haven't played MW2 as much as i have W@W so i shouldn't judge yet

I was hearing all these good things about WaW and then when I got around to playing the game it just fell flat for me (though Nazi zombies is awesome). MW2 does everything CoD 4: MW, but just a bit better and that's why it has been consuming most of my time.

World at War sucked really bad as it went back into WW2 -_- Call of Duty 6 could of been better if they wasn't so much camping opputunitues in maps and people having private matches to get there rank to 10th prestige

If you are saying the matchmaking on WaW is better than MW2, but everything else is better in MW2, then I agree! I'm just not a big fan of the old school guns and stuff. Also, the gameplay is better overall (seeing as WaW used the MW engine) in MW2. So yeah, I'll take that. I am interested in seeing how the CoD: Vietnam game comes out. I have been wanting to get to try a good Vietnam game so we'll see if Treyarch can come through.

I prefer MW2.
